E - Bolts gear case

The gear case (A) of your mower features high-precision, matched, bevel gears which have been assembled precisely with special tools. If the gear case requires servicing, take it to your John Deere dealer.

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to replace worn or damaged parts in the gear case yourself as serious damaged may result from improper adjustment.

Check the gear case periodically for proper oil level. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section).
