Beginning of Season

1. Lubricate thoroughly machine, this will force any collected moisture out of the bearings. (See Lubrication section).

2. Clean the mower completely.

3. Torque knife mounting bolts to 115 N·m (85 lb-ft).

4. Check rotor knives and fasteners.

5. Check oil in gear case. Fill, if necessary, with API GL5 SAE 85w/140 oil to correct level. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section).

6. Check belt adjustment and pulley alignment. (See Service section).

7. Review your Operator's Manual, completely.
