Grease for General Use

Use grease based on NLGI consistency numbers and the expected air temperature range during the interval.

The following greases are preferred:

  • John Deere MOLY HIGH TEMPERATURE EP GREASE
  • John Deere HIGH TEMPERATURE EP GREASE
  • John Deere GREASE-GARDTM
  • John Deere BIO-GREASE-GARDTM11

    Other greases may be used if they meet both of the following:

  • NLGI Performance Classification GC
  • NLGI Performance Classification LB

Arctic greases (such as Military Specification MIL-G-10924F) may be used at temperatures below -30°C (-22°F).

1 BIO-GREASE-GARD meets or exceeds the minimum biodegradability of 80% within 21 days according to CEC-L-33-T-82 test method.
