Replace Hydraulic Hoses, Couplers, Tubing, or Connectors

  1. Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)

  2. To prevent twisting hydraulic tubes, use two wrenches when removing or connecting hoses to tubes.

Remove clamps and ties as required. Plastic ties cannot be used again.

  3. Remove and replace hydraulic components. A 13/16 in wrench and a 7/8 in wrench are required for most hose connections.

  4. Route or tie hoses to avoid contact with the loader frame.

  5. Cycle the loader and check for leaks.

  6. Check the tractor hydraulic oil level. (See the tractor Operator's Manual for more information.)
