Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

  2. Start the engine and check the loader operation:

    1. Extend lift cylinders and lift the bucket from the ground.

    2. Retract bucket cylinders and lower to the ground.

  3. Ensure that the loader reacts correctly to the control lever movement. (See the tractor Operator's Manual for more information.)

  4. Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.) Check for hydraulic oil leaks.

  5. Check the tractor transmission/hydraulic oil level. (See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.)
