Remove Ballast Box

Prevent possible injury from tractor instability. Remove the ballast box from the hitch when the loader is removed. Prevent possible injury caused by unexpected movement:

1. Park machine on a flat, level surface.
2. Engage the park brake or place the transmission in PARK.
3. Disengage the PTO.
4. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

Ballast box with a 3-point hitch:

1. Lower the ballast box to the ground.

   A - Center Link

   B - Quick-Lock Pin (2 used)

   Remove quick-lock pins (B) from hitch pins and install in the storage position on tractor draft links.

3. Remove and lower tractor draft links from hitch pins.

4. Disconnect the center link (A). Position the tractor center link in the transport location. Reinstall the center link pin and hardware.

5. Drive the tractor away.

A - Latch Control Lever (2 used)

1. Lower the ballast box close to the ground.

2. Place the transmission in PARK and shut off the engine.

3. Raise both latch control levers (A) on the quick-hitch.

4. Continue to lower the quick-hitch until hooks clear hitch pins.

5. Drive the tractor away.
