Detach Loader

  1. W14000
    W14000-UN-05OCT88

Prevent possible injury caused by a falling loader. Always detach the loader on a hard, level surface. Loader must be equipped with a bucket and parking stands.

Remove the ballast box, if equipped. (See Remove Ballast Box in this section.)

  2. W09723
    W09723-UN-20AUG08

Dump the bucket approximately 40° as shown.

  3. Lower the bucket to the ground, applying slight down-pressure. Do not raise front tires off the ground.

  4. Place the transmission in PARK and shut off the engine.

  5. W22798
    W22798-UN-23JUL12

Upper Hose Support and Pin (Right-Hand Side)

    W20106
    W20106-UN-29OCT08

Lower Hose Support (Right-Hand Side—5M Series and 5105ML Tractors Only)

    A - Mast Pin (1 each side)

    B - Spring Pin (1 each side)

    C - Hose Support (upper)

    D - Drilled Round-Head Bolt

    E - Spring Pin

    F - Hose Support (lower)

    G - Spring Pin

The bucket can be rolled back and forth to loosen mast pins (A).

Remove the spring pin (B) and mast pin (A) from the loader mast on both sides.

  6. Right-hand side:

    1. Remove the spring pin (E) and upper hose support (C) from the drilled round-head bolt (D). Store the spring pin on the drilled round-head bolt.

    2. 5M Series and 5105ML tractors only: Remove the spring pin (G) and lower the hose support (F) from the bracket. Store the spring pin on the pin.

  7. W28376
    W28376-UN-16JAN18

    A - Spring Pin (1 each side)

    B - Parking Stand (1 each side)

Remove spring pins (A) and parking stands (B). Install spring pins on storage brackets as shown.

  8. W28377
    W28377-UN-16JAN18

    A - Parking Stand (1 each side)

    B - Mast Pin (1 each side)

    C - Spring Pin (1 each side)

Align holes in the bracket and top of parking stands (A) and install mast pins (B) as shown. Fasten with spring pins (C).

  9. To prevent the loader from sinking in soft ground, place boards under parking stands.

    Place the transmission in NEUTRAL.

  10. W22800
    W22800-UN-08AUG12

    A - Mast (1 each side)

    B - Bushing (1 each side)

Parking stands cannot contact the ground during this operation. Dump the bucket if more clearance between parking stands and ground is required.

Extend lift cylinders until masts (A) rotate forward and clear bushings (B) on the mounting frame.

  11. W22801
    W22801-UN-15AUG12

Roll back the bucket until parking stands contact the ground. Continue to roll back the bucket until the loader lifts out of mounting frames as shown. Drive ahead as necessary to keep the hoses slack.

  12. Place the transmission in PARK and shut off the engine.

  13. X9811
    X9811-UN-23AUG88

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)

  14. W09731
    W09731-UN-22AUG08

    A - Loader Hose (4 or 6 used)

    Loader hoses-to-mid-mount valve:

    1. Disconnect loader hoses (A) from the valve.

    2. Place caps on hoses and plugs in couplers.

When disconnecting hoses without couplers, use the appropriate plugs for the mid-mount valve.

  15. W09730
    W09730-UN-22AUG08

    Single-Lever ICV (Option)

    A - Loader Hose (4 or 6 used)

If equipped with a single-lever ICV:

    1. Disconnect loader hoses (A) from the valve.

    2. Place caps on hoses and plugs in couplers.

  16. W22922
    W22922-UN-08AUG12

    A - Lever

    B - Loader Coupler

    C - Knob

Disconnect the multicoupler (5M series and 5105ML tractors, if equipped):

    1. Push in the red knob (C) and rotate the lever (A) rearward to disengage pins and coupler halves.

    2. Remove the loader coupler (B) from the tractor coupler.

    3. W28378
      W28378-UN-16JAN18

      A - Loader Coupler

    4. W24711
      W24711-UN-17FEB14

      A - Lever

      B - Cover

Avoid damage from contact with the tractor fender or wheel. Lever (A) must be in the locked (UP) position. To protect the connection, lower the cover (B).

Rotate the lever (A) forward until it locks in the UP position as shown.

    5. Lower the cover (B).

  17. Place the transmission in REVERSE. Move the tractor away from the loader.
