Prepare the Tractor

Prepare the tractor as follows:

• Ballast the tractor for loader operation. (See Front Tire Load Index and Minimum Rear Ballast Requirements, Attach Ballast Box to Tractor Hitch, Add Ballast to Hitch, and Rear Ballast in this section.)
• Remove the front ballast from the tractor. (See Remove Front Weights in this section.)
• Check and adjust the front wheel tread width. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Check and adjust the rear wheel tread width. (See Rear Tread Settings in this section.)
• Check the front and rear wheel mounting hardware. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Check and adjust the tire pressure. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Reference the tractor Operator’s Manual for hydraulic control, SCV detent, and flow settings necessary for operating the loader.
• Reference the tractor Operator’s Manual for multi-function lever details.
