Implement Section and Rate Control

1. Choose an available rate type.

Predefined Rates

Predefined rates are limited to a maximum of three. These rates can be set up on the setup page under Rates tab.

The letters on the top left corner of each rate button (E–G) represent the short cut softkeys that are available when using a display control. (For more information, see GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display Operator’s Manual.)

Rates Based on Mass Per Unit of Area

A rate based on mass per unit of area can be set by choosing one of the items from the rate selection drop-down (H). This rate mode ensures a consistent application rate over an area as working width and machine speed are adjusted.

• lb. N/ac or lb. NH3/ac (U.S. units)
• kg N/ha or kg NH3/ha (Metric units)
• lb. N/ac or lb. NH3/ac (Imperial units)

For lb. N/ac or kg N/ha, ensure Actual Nitrogen box checked under Setup > Rates tab.

Map-Based Rates

To run map-based rates, select a prescription in GreenStar™ documentation. Map-based only appears in the drop-down menu if a prescription is selected.

Rates Based on Flow

A rate based on flow can be set by choosing one of the items from the rate selection drop-down. This rate mode ensures a constant flow rate regardless of changes in machine speed. A decrease in rate may be visible when sections are disabled.
