Rate Controller Requirements

Hardware

• GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display, John Deere 4640 Universal Display, or 4600 CommandCenter™
• Master Foot Switch
• John Deere Rate Controller 2000 Harnesses
• StarFire™ Receiver
• Implement Height Indicator
  • Height switch is required for NH3 applications.
  • Height switch is required for planter applications.
  • Height switch is optional for liquid fertilizer tool applications.
  • Height switch or sensor is optional for air cart applications.
  • Height switch is not used for sprayer or spreader applications.

Software

The John Deere Rate Controller 2000 software has been released in multiple phases. To ensure complete functionality, the John Deere Rate Controller 2000 must have software version 1.10N or higher.

When paired with a Generation 4 Display, full functionality is not available unless the Generation 4 Display is updated to software version 10.10.404-345 or higher. Features that do not function when the Generation 4 Display has an older version include:

• Shared section documentation
• Direct injection documentation
• Planter clutch profile
• Multiple implement controllers connected (for example, John Deere Rate Controller 2000 and SeedStar™)
