A - Latch Pin (1 each side)
Prevent bodily injury or death from a falling bucket or attachment.
DO NOT operate the loader without making sure that latch pins (A)
are engaged with the bucket or attachment. Failure to engage pins
causes the bucket or attachment to detach from the loader.
Check pin engagement with the bucket:
-
Position loader approximately 300 mm (12 in) from the ground
and extend the bucket cylinders until the front edge of the bucket
contacts the ground.
-
Continue to apply pressure against the ground verifying pins
(A) are engaged with the bucket.
-
CAUTION:

X9811-UN-23AUG88
Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing
serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before connecting
hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure
fluids. See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids in
Safety section.
Level bucket and lower flat on the ground.
-
Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure
in Controls section.)

If equipped with a hydraulic-operated attachment, such as
a grapple, connect the hydraulics as follows:
Multicoupler configuration:
-
Raise multicoupler cover (B).
-
Push in red knob (D) and rotate lever (A) upward, as shown.
-
IMPORTANT: Prevent coupler damage. Multicoupler halves must
be aligned properly.
Insert attachment coupler half (E) into loader coupler (C).
Make sure that locating pins (F) on the attachment coupler fit into
the corresponding holes (G) in the loader coupler.
-
Rotate lever (A) downward to engage pins (H) and lock the coupler
halves together.
-
NOTE: Hose connections are identified by matching the color-coded
cap on the hose end with the same color-coded plug on the hydraulic
lines:
-
(A) Attachment Cylinder—Rod End (Green)
-
(B) Attachment Cylinder—Head End (Orange)
