Attach Ballast Box to Tractor Hitch
CAUTION: Prevent bodily injury from tractor instability. Attach
the ballast box before attempting to attach the loader. Prevent bodily injury or possible machine damage. Whenever the ballast
box is attached, put the transmission in the PARK position and check
the full range of the hitch for interference or binding.
Do not stand between the tractor and ballast box.
Three-Point Hitch

A - Center Link Mounting Hardware
B - Quick-Lock Pin (2 used)
Back up the tractor to the ballast box with the hitch points
approximately in alignment.

Engage tractor parking brake and/or place the transmission in
PARK.

Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

Attach tractor draft links. Fasten with quick-lock pins (B)
(stored on the tractor draft links).

Align center link with the upper hole in the ballast box mounting
straps and install center link mounting hardware (A).

Start tractor engine.

A - Hitch Lever
Slowly pull hitch lever (A) to raise the ballast box. Check
for interference. Lower hitch to the ground and adjust the center
link and/or lift links if necessary. (See procedures in your tractor
Operator’s Manual.)

A - Hitch Lever
B - Latch Lever (2 used)
Slowly push hitch lever (A) to lower the hitch until the
quick coupler hooks are lower than the hitch pins.

Back up the tractor to the ballast box.

IMPORTANT: Prevent possible machine damage. Check the spring
loaded clips on the quick coupler to be sure that the latches are
free and working properly.
Make sure that latch levers (B) are down (as shown).

Slowly pull hitch lever (A) to engage the hitch pins in the
hooks. Raise the ballast box and check for interference. Lower the
ballast box to the ground and adjust if necessary.
