Operate Loader with Multi-Function Lever

Operate loader from the operator's seat only. Remain at the
controls until all operating cycles are completed.
Lever returns to NEUTRAL by itself from all positions except
FLOAT. Pull lever back to release from FLOAT.

NOTE: Two loader operations, such as RAISE and ROLL BACK can
happen at the same time. The operation that requires the least hydraulic
force moves first due to oil flow limitations.

Lever (A) can be locked in NEUTRAL to prevent unintentional
movement.
Locking collar (C) can be used to secure the lever in one of
two positions.
If the lever is not required for operation, move locking ring
(D) to position (E) and slacken off locking collar (C). Swing the
lever to the right and tighten locking collar (C). Locking ring (D)
can be used to lock out various lever movements.

Mechanical Multi-Function Lever—Style C (Current
Version, Loaders with a Diverter Valve in Bucket Hydraulic Circuit
[Tractors Without a Third-Function Mid-Valve])
CAUTION: Prevent bodily injury or death. As soon as the button
for third-function (if equipped) is released the multi-function lever
goes back to its primary functions: dump to the right and rollback
to the left.
NOTE: If the loader does not respond as expected to the multi-function
lever movement:

Check for correct hose connection and electrical connection.
(See Identify Hose Connections in the Service section or Attach Loader
in the Attaching and Detaching Loader section.)

Check tractor hydraulic oil level. (See your tractor Operator’s
Manual.)
Third-function needs the loader to be fitted with the required
diverter valve. See your John Deere dealer for more information.
The multi-function lever with three-function is protected with
a fuse.

Open Attachment—Continuously press button (B) then move
the multi-function lever to the right.

Close Attachment—Continuously press button (B) then move
