A - Pin (1 each side)

B - Saddle (1 each side)

Prevent bodily injury. DO NOT allow bystanders nearby while attaching the loader. Allow only the tractor operator to attach the loader.

IMPORTANT: Prevent possible hydraulic hose damage. Make sure that the loader hydraulic hoses do not interfere with the tractor when attaching the loader.

  1. Center the tractor between the loader masts, stopping when both mounting frame saddles (B) are positioned under pins (A) on the loader masts.

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before connecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids in Safety section.

Prevent possible bodily injury from unexpected loader movement. Lower loader to ground before relieving pressure.

Prevent possible bodily injury from unexpected loader movement. Lock out loader controls before attaching loader.

Place transmission in PARK and shutoff engine.

  3. Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)

  4. Lock out loader controls: Controls vary by tractor and options. (See your tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.)

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before connecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids in Safety section.

IMPORTANT: Prevent possible machine damage. On some tractors, the shutoff valve handle (B) contacts the tractor exhaust shroud (A) when the valve is closed. Reposition the valve if necessary as follows:

    1. Place transmission in PARK and shutoff engine.

    2. Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in the Controls section.)

    3. Slightly loosen fittings (C and E).

    4. Turn shutoff valve (D) 30—40 degrees (F), as shown.

    5. Rotate valve handle (B) and verify that there is adequate clearance between the handle and the exhaust shroud (A) and adjacent fittings.

    6. Tighten fittings to specification.

    Mid-Mount Couplers

    A - Coupler, Female

    B - Coupler, Male

    C - Cap

    D - Plug

Prevent possible injury from unexpected loader movement. Hose connections must be correct for the loader to respond as expected when the controls are moved.

IMPORTANT: Prevent possible hydraulic system contamination. Before connecting coupler halves make sure that fittings are free of dirt and debris. Verify that hoses are not twisted or kinked.

NOTE: Hose connections have color-coded caps and plugs. (If caps and plugs are missing, see Identify Hose Connections in the Service section.)

    Connect hydraulics using mid-mount couplers:

    1. Push and hold collar on female coupler (A).

    2. Match color-coded cap on hose end with same color-coded plug on the coupler. Insert hydraulic hose with the male coupler (B) into female coupler.

    3. Release collar on the female coupler.

    4. Connect color-coded cap (C) and plug (D) together.

    5. Repeat connections for all the couplers.

    Start engine.

  11. Place transmission in NEUTRAL to allow for tractor movement.

  12. Unlock loader controls: Controls vary by tractor and options. (See your tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.)

  13. Extend bucket cylinders along with boom cylinders (D) until mast (B) lowers, pins (E) rest in saddles (F) on both sides. Continue until parking stands (A) are slightly off the ground.

  14. Retract lift cylinders until mast bushings (I) are seated in cradles (H) on both mounting frames.

  15. Place transmission in PARK and shutoff engine.

  16. Install mast pins (C) on both sides of loader:

    1. Push in mast pin and rotate the handle (G) upward until knob locks into mast.

    2. To make sure the knob (J) is securely locked in the top hole in mast, pull on pin handle while attempting to rotate downward. (Knob is locked if the handle does not move.)

  17. IMPORTANT: Prevent possible hydraulic hose damage from excessive contact with the tractor exhaust. Position the hose bundle so that the hoses loop down in between the hose bracket and boom.
