Attach Ballast Box to Tractor with Quick-Hitch

Prevent possible injury from tractor instability. Attach the ballast box AFTER the loader has been installed. Prevent possible injury or machine damage whenever the ballast box is attached. Place the transmission in PARK and check the full range of the hitch for interference or binding. DO NOT stand between the tractor and ballast box.

  1. Lower the hitch until quick-hitch hooks are lower than hitch pins.

  2. Back up the tractor to the ballast box.

  3. Check spring-loaded clips on the quick-hitch to be sure that latches are free and working properly.

    A - Latch Control Lever (2 used)

    Make sure that latch control levers (A) are down (as shown).


  4. Raise the hitch engaging hitch pins in quick-hitch hooks. Continue raising the ballast box and check for interference. Lower the ballast box to the ground and adjust if necessary.
