Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing
serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting
hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure
fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in
Safety section.)
Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic
Pressure in Controls section.)
-
Prevent possible injury caused by an unexpected loader
movement. The anticipated loader movement responds to the control
lever only if the hoses are connected correctly.
Hose connections are identified by matching the color-coded
cap on the hose end with the same color-coded plug on the control
valve coupler. If caps are missing, see Identifying Hose Connections
in Service section.

A - Drag Link
Avoid hydraulic hose damage. Route the hoses correctly to
avoid interference with the tractor drag link.
300R Loader on an 870 tractor and 320R loader on a
970 tractor with a drag link:
-
Route the hoses on each
side of the drag link (A).
-
Turn the steering wheel
from side-to-side to be sure that there is no interference with the
drag link.
-
It can be necessary to drive the tractor forward slowly
to keep the masts/frames in-line while performing the following procedures.

Make sure that there is no dirt or debris between the bottom
of the front weight bracket (B) and bottom bar (C) of the parking
stand. Make sure that the top bar (A) of the parking stand rests on
the top of the front weight bracket with at least 25 mm (1 in) (D)
of engagement.
All except 4105 tractor: Check that the bottom bar
(C) of the parking stand is securely hooked against the bottom of
the front weight bracket (B).

Check that the top bar
(A) rests on the top of the front weight bracket with the engagement
within specification. If engagement is not within specification (see
Checking Parking Stand/Weight Bracket Engagement in Service section).
