Attach Bucket or Attachment (300R and 320R Loaders)

A - Quick-Lock Pin (1 each side)

B - Storage Position (1 each side)

C - Hook (1 each side)

D - Holder (1 each side)

E - Holder Strap (1 each side)

F - Bucket Pin (1 each side)

  1. The attaching procedure is the same for all attachments. Bucket attachment shown.

    Start the engine.

  2. Extend bucket cylinders to position the carrier forward.

  3. Align holders (D) with hooks (C).

  4. Raise the loader until the carrier engages hooks, then roll back the bucket.

  5. Raise the loader high enough to check that straps (E) engage pins (F) on both sides.

  6. Shut off the engine.

  7. Remove quick-lock pins from the storage position (B).

  8. Install quick-lock pins (A) through bucket pins.

  9. Prevent possible injury. Make sure that the bucket/attachment is properly secured to the carrier.

    Start the engine. Verify that the carrier is fully engaged. Extend bucket cylinders and apply down-pressure on the bucket against the ground.

  10. Lower the loader to the ground and shut off the engine.

A - Latch Handle (1 each side)

  1. Make sure that both latch handles (A) are up and lock pins (B) are fully retracted.

    The attaching procedure is the same for all attachments. Bucket attachment shown.

    Raise both latch handles (A) into the UP (unlatched) position.

  2. Start the engine and raise the loader off the ground.

  3. Extend bucket cylinders to tilt the carrier forward.

  4. Slowly drive forward and raise the loader until carrier plates are positioned under the lip (C) on the bucket. Roll back the bucket.

    The bucket rests against carrier plates.

  5. Lower the loader completely to the ground and shut off the engine.

  6. Lower latch handles (A) to engage pins (B) with latches (D) on the bucket.

  7. Prevent possible injury. Make sure that the bucket is properly secured to the carrier.

    Start the engine. Verify that pins (B) are fully engaged in latches (D). Extend bucket cylinders and apply down-pressure on the bucket against the ground.

    If the bucket is not securely attached to the skid steer carrier, repeat steps.

  8. Lower the loader to the ground and shut off the engine.

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Before connecting coupler halves, make sure that fittings are free of dirt and debris.

If the loader is equipped with an attachment such as a grapple bucket: Connect hydraulic hoses as follows:

  1. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.
  2. Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)
  3. Push and hold the collar on the female coupler (B).
  4. Insert the male coupler (A).
  5. Release the collar on the female coupler.
  6. Connect the cap (D) and plug (C) together.
  7. Repeat for the remaining hydraulic hose connections.
