Detach Bucket or Attachment (300R and 320R Loaders)

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

A - Coupler, Male (1 per connection)

B - Coupler, Female (1 per connection)

C - Plug (1 per female coupler)

D - Cap (1 per male coupler)

If equipped with an attachment, such as a grapple bucket: Disconnect hydraulic hoses as follows:

  1. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.
  2. Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)
  3. Push and hold the collar on the female coupler (B).
  4. Disconnect the male coupler (A).
  5. Release the collar on the female coupler.
  6. Repeat for the remaining hydraulic hose connection.
  7. Insert the plug (C) into the female coupler and place the cap (D) on the male coupler. Install the plug and cap on the female and male couplers on the hydraulic hoses.

  1. The detaching procedure is the same for all attachments. Bucket attachment shown.

    Start the engine.

  2. Release the park brake and place the transmission in NEUTRAL.

  3. Roll back the bucket slightly and raise the boom approximately 460 mm (18 in) above the ground.

  4. Remove the quick-lock pin (A) from each side of the bucket.

  5. Store pins in the storage position (B).

    E - Holder Strap (1 each side)

    F - Bucket Pin (1 each side)

    Extend bucket cylinders until the pin (F) releases from the holder strap (E) on each side of the bucket.



  7. Lower the loader boom, place the transmission in REVERSE, and move away from the bucket. Holder (D) releases from the hook (C) on each side of the bucket.

  1. The detaching procedure is the same for all attachments. Bucket attachment shown.

    Start the engine and position the machine on a hard, level surface. Level the bucket and lower the loader completely to the ground.

  2. Place the transmission in PARK and shut off the engine.

  3. Make sure that both latch handles (A) are up and lock pins (B) are fully retracted.

    Raise both latch handles (A) to the UP (unlatched) position.

  4. Start the engine and place the transmission in NEUTRAL. Slowly extend bucket cylinders until the carrier clears the bottom latches (D).

  5. Place the transmission in REVERSE and slowly back away from the bucket.
