Prevent possible injury from tractor instability. Ensure that the tractor is prepared for loader operation. (See Prepare Tractor section.)

Prepare the tractor for loader operation. (See Prepare Tractor section.)

  2. Inspect the loader for damaged or missing parts.

  3. Ensure that hydraulic fittings are free of dirt.

  4. Start the engine.

  5. Drive forward and position the tractor between the loader booms.

  6. Apply the park brake and shut off the engine.

    X9811-UN-23AUG88

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)

    Multicoupler (Two-Function Shown)

    W24437
    W24437-UN-16OCT13

    A - Locating Pin (2 used)

    B - Hole (2 used)

    C - Coupler, Loader Half

    D - Pin (1 each side)

    E - Cover

    F - Red Knob

    G - Coupler, Tractor Half

    H - Handle

If equipped with a multicoupler: Perform the following:

    1. Raise the cover (E).

    2. Push in the red knob (F) and rotate the handle (H) upward, as shown.

    3. Multicoupler mating halves must align properly or damage to couplers can occur.

Place the loader coupler (C) into the tractor coupler (G) by aligning locating pins (A) with holes (B) in the tractor coupler.

    4. Rotate the handle (H) downward to engage pins (D) on the loader coupler. Continue rotating the handle all the way down until a “click” is heard, locking couplers together.

    Left-Hand Side Shown

    W28211
    W28211-UN-21JUL17

    A - Mast (1 each side)

    B - Latch (1 each side)

C - Pin, Mounting Frame, Top (1 each side)

    D - Saddle, Mast (1 each side)

E - Pin, Mounting Frame, Bottom (1 each side)

    F - Parking Stand

Make sure that saddles (D) on both sides are free of dirt and debris.

    Start the engine.

  12. Retract lift cylinders until mast saddles (D) rest on the bottom pins (E) on both sides.

  13. As masts (A) are tilted back, the top mounting frame pin (C) opens latches (B) and then returns them to the LOCKED position. Parking stand (F) automatically raises to the stored position under the tractor during the procedure.

Retract bucket cylinders, dump the bucket approximately 20°, and lower the boom to the ground.

  14. Retract lift cylinders until the loader masts move back and latches (B) contact the top mounting frame pins (C), causing them to open.

  15. Continue retracting lift cylinders until the parking stand (F) rises to the stored position and latches on both sides return to the LOCKED position.

  16. W23765
    W23765-UN-15JUL13

    A - Hook (2 used)

    B - Bar
