Detach Loader (300R and 320R Loaders)

  1. W14000
    W14000-UN-05OCT88

Prevent possible injury caused by a falling or shifting loader. Always detach the loader on a hard level surface. DO NOT detach the loader if equipped with a pallet fork or bale spear (320R only). Use of a materials bucket is recommended.

Remove the ballast box. (See procedure in this section.)

  2. W28203
    W28203-UN-21JUL17

Be sure that the loader is equipped with a materials bucket.

  3. Start the engine.

  4. Release the park brake and place the transmission in NEUTRAL.

  5. Dump the bucket 10°—20° and lower to the ground.

  6. Retract lift cylinders raising the front wheels 25—50 mm (1—2 in) off the ground. (Do not retract lift cylinders completely.)

    Left-Hand Side Shown

    A - Latch Handle

    B - Leaf Spring

Place latches on both sides to the UNLOCKED position by pushing the leaf spring (B) inward and pushing forward on the latch handle (A).

  8. Lift cylinders must be fully extended to raise masts high enough to clear the front wheels.

    W28207-UN-21JUL17

    A - Mast (both sides)

    B - Parking Stand

C - Mounting Frame (both sides)

Extend lift cylinders until parking stands (B) contact the ground and masts (A) completely lift off mounting frames (C).

  9. Engage the park brake and place the transmission in PARK.

  10. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids. (See additional information, Avoid High-Pressure Fluids, in Safety section.)

Relieve the hydraulic pressure. (See Relieve Hydraulic Pressure in Controls section.)

Disconnect the hoses at couplers and install dust plugs and caps.

  13. W28208
    W28208-UN-21JUL17

Avoid hydraulic hose damage. Be sure that the hoses DO NOT catch on the tractor when reversing away from the loader.

Store the hoses on the lift cylinder. DO NOT lay them on the ground.

  14. Start the engine.

  15. Disengage the park brake and place the transmission in REVERSE. Slowly move away from the loader.
