Prepare the Tractor

Prepare the tractor as follows:

• Install or check the tractor rollover protective structure. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Ballast the tractor for loader operation. (See Install Hitch Pin Bushings on Ballast Box for Category 2 Hitch, Attach Ballast Box to Tractor Hitch, Add Ballast to Hitch, and Rear Ballast in this section.)
• Remove the front ballast from the tractor. (See Remove Front Weights in this section.)
• Check and adjust the front wheel tread width. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Check and adjust the rear wheel tread width.
• Check the front and rear wheel mounting hardware. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Check and adjust the tire pressure. See the tractor Operator’s Manual for more information.
• Reference the tractor Operator’s Manual for hydraulic controls, SCV detent, and flow settings necessary for operating the loader.
• Reference the tractor Operator’s Manual for multi-function lever details.
