Use Service Locks—Australia Only


Install Service Locks

    A - Service Lock (1 each side)

    B - Strap (2 each service lock)

    Remove any load from the bucket or attachment.



  2. Avoid machine damage. DO NOT lower the loader onto service locks with hydraulic pressure applied or with a load in the bucket.

    Service locks are stored on lift cylinders. Remove service locks before raising the loader.

    Engage the park brake or place the transmission in PARK.

  3. Remove service locks (A) from lift cylinders straps (B) for installation.

  4. Start the engine and raise the loader to the maximum height.

  5. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

  6. The wavy end of the service lock is positioned against the mast side of the cylinder rod.

    Right-Hand Side

    A - Service Lock (1 each side)

    B - Lift Cylinder

    Position the service lock (A) onto the lift cylinder (B).



  7. Repeat on the opposite lift cylinder.

  8. Slowly relieve the pressure in lift cylinders and lower the loader onto service locks. See the tractor Operator's Manual for more information.


Remove and Store Service Locks

  1. Prevent possible injury or death. DO NOT stand under a raised loader. Stand to the side of the tractor and loader when working with service locks.

    Raise the loader.

  2. Shut off engine and remove ignition key.

  3. Remove service locks from lift cylinders.

  4. Lower the loader to the ground.

    Store service locks (A) with lift cylinder straps (B).

    Make sure that straps are secured tight.
