Connecting Single-Acting Cylinder
NOTE:
SCV I and SCV II, when equipped with third SCV, have "float" positions.
Late model tractors shown. Early model tractors are similar.
In order for lever to work properly, a single-acting cylinder should be connected only to SCV I coupler (A) or SCV II coupler (B) when equipped with third SCV.
IMPORTANT:
Volume of oil required to extend cylinder must not lower transmission-hydraulic oil level below end of dipstick. Check oil level with cylinder fully extended.
Push SCV I control lever (C) full forward to use "float" position to lower cylinder.
If equipped with third SCV, push SCV II control lever (D) full forward to use "float" feature.
"Float" position allows a cylinder to extend and retract freely and uses no engine power.
