Check Engine Idle Speeds

Slow idle speed is 825 ± 25 rpm.

With no load, fast idle speed should be a maximum of 2625 ± 25 rpm.

Engine Slow Idle -Speed 825 ± 25 rpm
Engine Fast Idle (with No Load) -Speed 2625 ± 25 rpm Maximum

If idle speeds are not correct:

1. Disconnect throttle linkage.

2. Check slow idle speed and ensure it is within specification. Adjust slow idle set screw, if necessary. Ensure that set screw touches stop when at slow idle.

3. Connect throttle linkage.

4. Move throttle lever to fast idle.

5. Check fast idle speed and ensure it is within specification. Adjust fast idle set screw, if necessary. Ensure that set screw touches stop when at slow idle.

If unable to obtain specified idle speeds, see your authorized dealer.
