IMPORTANT:
Draining cooling system WILL NOT protect against freezing if antifreeze is weak, since system does not drain completely.
1.
Prior to cold weather, be sure cooling system contains 50-67% antifreeze. (See Diesel Engine Coolant in Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant section.)

2.
After adding antifreeze, run engine until it reaches operating temperature. This mixes solution uniformly and circulates it through the entire system.
