Removing Battery

1. Raise hood.

causym CAUTION: To avoid sparks, disconnect negative (ground) cable first and connect it last.

WARNING: Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds, chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

2. Remove nut and disconnect negative (ground) battery cable (D).

3. Remove nut and disconnect positive cable (E).

4. Loosen nuts (A) and rotate battery hold-down (C) down.

5. Remove battery.

6. Install battery in reverse order of removal. Insert vent tube (B) through hole in frame.
