Adjusting Toe-In-Adjustable Front Axle

1. Loosen lock nuts (B) on both ends of tie rod.

2. Adjust inner tube (A) to lengthen or shorten tie rod until toe-in is 3 to 6 mm (1/8 to 1/4 in.)

Tie Rod Rotation Approximate Change in Toe-In
1/2 turn 8 mm (5/16 in.)
1 turn 16 mm (5/8 in.)

 

3. Tighten lock nuts (B) to specification. Do not overtighten as damage to the tube may occur.

Front Wheel Drive Tie Rod Lock Nut -Torque 140 N·m (103 lb-ft)
