Changing MFWD Axle Wheel Hub Oil-If Equipped

NOTE: Approximate wheel hub oil capacity is 0.7 L (0.74 qt).

1. Park tractor on level surface.

2. Rotate wheel until drain/fill port plug (A) is at bottom of hub.

3. Remove plug and drain oil.

4. After oil has drained, rotate wheel until drain/fill port is positioned parallel with the ground.

5. Add oil until even with bottom of drain/fill port. John Deere HY-GARD oil is recommended. (See MFWD Axle Housing and Wheel Hub Oil in section 75 Fuel, Lubricants, and Coolant.)

6. Apply pipe sealant with TEFLON ® , or equivalent, to threads of plug.

7. Install plug and tighten to specifications.
