Diesel Engine Oil
Use oil viscosity based on the expected air temperature range during the period between oil changes.
John Deere PLUS-50™ oil is preferred.
Oil meeting one of the following specifications are also recommended:

ACEA Oil Sequence E4
Extended service intervals may apply when John Deere PLUS-50
, ACEA E7, ACEA E6, ACEA E5, or ACEA E4 engine oils are used. Consult your John Deere dealer for more information.
Other oils may be used if they meet one or more of the following:

Multi-viscosity diesel engine oils are preferred.
Diesel fuel quality and fuel sulfur content must comply with all existing emissions regulations for the area in which the engine operates.
DO NOT use diesel fuel with sulfur content greater than 1.0% (10 000 ppm).
