Change Engine Oil and Filter

NOTE: Change oil and filter a minimum of once a year.

NOTE: The approximate engine crankcase oil capacity is 6.4 L (1.69 gal).

2. Remove oil drain plug (B) and drain oil.

3. Replace engine oil filter (A) while changing oil. Apply a film of oil on the new oil filter gasket and install new filter. Hand tighten plus 1/2 turn.

4. Install drain plug (B).

IMPORTANT: Change engine oil every 125 hours if diesel fuel has a sulfur content greater than 0.7 percent.

5. Add seasonal viscosity grade oil. (See Fuels, Lubricants and Coolant section.)

Specification

NOTE: Engine oil should be changed annually as a minimum.
