Selecting a Gear
IMPORTANT: To extend drive train life and avoid excessive soil
compaction and rolling resistance when using ballast, operate one
gear lower than normal.
The tractor may be operated in any gear with engine speeds between
1600 and 2100 rpm. Within these limits, the engine can be put under
full load. For light load operation, use a higher gear and lower engine
speed. This saves fuel and reduces wear.
