ActiveCommand Steering (ACS™) (If Equipped)ActiveCommand Steering (ACS) progressively changes the steering ratio based on ground speed, this causes a slower steering ratio at transport speeds. The steering wheel turns further at higher speeds to make the same radius turn at lower speed. This leads to a more stable and accurate steering control at transport speeds. The faster ratio at field working speeds means that it takes less steering input to make quick turns at the end of the rows. The force required to turn the steering wheel is also changed based on ground speed and direction. Steering wheel force increases at higher speeds. Steering wheel force increases slightly when the tractor is in reverse mode. To determine if a tractor has ACS™ turn the steering wheel while the engine is off. If the steering wheel spins freely the tractor is equipped with ACS™. Note: If the ActiveCommand Steering (ACS™) system goes into secondary mode, ground speed is limited to 10 km/h (6 mph).
