Hydraulic Motor Return and Case Drain Kits RXA0112864-UN-14JAN11
A - Load Sense Coupler B - Pressure Coupler C - Return Coupler D - Return Coupler E - Sump Coupler (Motor Case Drain)
Port (E) is used as a motor case drain for low pressure, low flow applications. Motor case drain is used when return oil flow may be too high for motor return port and could cause back pressure that may damage seals in the motor. Motor return and case drain kits are available from your John Deere dealer. Motor Return Couplers (C and D) are located below Pressure couplers. Using the motor return coupler will prevent: - Inadvertent reverse operation
- Pressurization of auxiliary function return line
- Potential flow checking of the return-side SCV coupling
Examples of implements which cannot withstand high pressure applied to both couplers are: - Hydraulic motors which have the return and case drain couplers connected. Failure of the motor housing or shaft seals may result if the return line is pressurized.
- Auxiliary control valves located on the implement may allow unexpected movement of cylinders or not function correctly if the return line pressure is too high.
NOTE: Motors without over-running check valves should be connected to the motor return coupler (C, D) to prevent return line pressurization when SCV is returned to neutral. John Deere is a trademark of Deere & Company
