1. Make sure that everyone is clear of tractor.

2. Fully depress clutch and brake pedals.

3. Move transmission shift lever (A) to NEUTRAL position.

4. Move left-hand reverser (B) to NEUTRAL position.

5. Start engine. Wait 6—7 seconds.

6. Move left-hand reverser (B) from NEUTRAL to FORWARD or REVERSE.

   • If left-hand reverser (B) remains in direction selected, without being held, neutral start system is working correctly.
   • If left-hand reverser (B) returns INSTANTLY from forward or reverse to NEUTRAL, without being moved manually, neutral start system should be repaired. See your John Deere™ dealer immediately.
