Rear PTO Control Unit (RPT) Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Although the diagnostic codes listed below are not a complete list of the diagnostic trouble codes, they do reflect codes which may be observed while operating the tractor and have corrective action that the operator can take. Many codes which appear may be corrected simply by cycling key switch or by following the solution on the CommandCenter™ page, then cycling key switch.

If corrective action cannot be taken after cycling power to the tractor or if there are any questions, contact your John Deere™ dealer.

RPT 001883.00	PTO System	PTO Shaft is turning too fast. Adjust engine speed.
RPT 001883.01	PTO System	PTO shaft is turning too slowly. Adjust engine speed.
RPT 001896.14	Rear PTO System	PTO not engaged. Select a PTO gear ratio other than neutral first.
RPT 001896.31	Rear PTO System	Excessive number of PTO gear selection changes in a short period of time.
RPT 523749.16	Rear PTO System	PTO clutch slipping. Allow clutch to cool before attempting to re-engage PTO.
RPT 524224.14	PTO System	Rear PTO switch disabled. Turn on rear PTO.
RPT 524251.31	PTO System	Operator not present with rear PTO On.
