Checking Weep Hole—13.5 L Engine

1. Raise hood.

2. Remove screws (B) and right-hand side panel (A).

3. NOTE: Use a mirror (D) to locate the weep hole.

   Locate weep hole (C) on under side of water pump and inspect for oil or coolant leakage.

   • Oil leakage indicates a damaged rear seal.
   • Coolant leakage indicates a damaged front seal.
   
   

   If leakage is detected, see your John Deere dealer to replace complete coolant pump assembly (repair parts are not available).

4. Replace engine side panel and tighten screws.

5. Close hood.
