Replace Fan Belt

1.

   A - Hood Release Loop

   B - Side Shield Latches

   C - Cap Screw

   D - Fan Drive Connector

   Pull hood release loop (A) and raise hood.

2. Depress side shield latches (B) and remove both front and rear side shields.

3. Remove cap screw (C) and disconnect fan drive connector (D).

   A - Front PTO Hub Set Screws (2 used)

   B - PTO Drive Shaft

   C - PTO Drive Shaft Cap Screws (6 used)

   For tractors equipped with front PTO, perform the following:
   • Rotate PTO drive shaft (B) using JDG820 Flywheel Rotation Tool and remove front PTO hub set screws (A).
   • Remove PTO drive shaft cap screws (C).
   • Slide PTO drive shaft (B) forward.

   Remove cap screw (A) and disconnect fan drive connector (B).

6. NOTE: Fan drive belt is equipped with an automatic tensioner which does not require adjustment.

   B - Tensioner Pully

   Release tension on belt using 1/2 in. drive breaker bar (A) on tensioner pulley (B).

7. Remove belt.

8. Inspect parts and replace as necessary.

   Install belt.

10. NOTE: Fan drive belt is equipped with an automatic tensioner which does not require adjustment.

    A - 1/2 in. Drive Breaker Bar

    B - Tensioner Pully

    Release tension using 1/2 in. drive breaker bar (A) on tensioner pulley (B) and install belt around tensioner.

    B - Fan Drive Connector

    Connect fan drive connector (B) and install clamp cap screw (A). Tighten to specification.

    For tractors equipped with front PTO, perform the following:
    • Slide PTO drive shaft (B) reward.
    • Rotate PTO drive shaft (B) using JDG820 Flywheel Rotation Tool and install PTO drive shaft cap screws (C). Tighten to specification.

    • Install front PTO hub set screws (A). Tighten to specification.
