Fuel Tank Sump

Drain fuel tank sump if fuel filters are replaced frequently or water in the fuel tank. Service may be required more often under some conditions.

1. Place a catch pan under the drain tee.

2. Use wrench to hold drain fitting while opening or closing tee or damage to tank threads can occur.

   Use a wrench and remove drain cap (B).

3. Turn drain tree (A) by hand. Drain fuel until clean, water free fuel appears.

4. Drain tree should be hand tight. If wrench must be used, apply least force necessary to avoid damaging fitting and threads.

   Tighten drain tree by hand to close.

5. Attach drain cap. Tighten with wrench.
