Break-In Engine Oil Use — Final Tier 4 and Stage IV 15 L Engines

Special "break-in" engine oils (including John Deere Break-In or Break-In Plus™ Oil) are not recommended for new or rebuilt 15 L engines. Use the same lubricating oil that will be used during normal operation. See Diesel Engine Oil - Interim Tier 4, Final Tier 4, Stage IIIB, and Stage IV in this Operator’s Manual section.

15 L engines are not shipped from the factory with break-in oil installed. Use recommended diesel engine oils. Do not use break-in oils.
