Lower Drive Line Bearings

Normal lubrication is every 250 operating hours. If used in extremely wet conditions, lubricate daily or every 10 operating hours.

Avoid drivetrain damage. Operate tractor at low speeds (below 10 mph (16 km/h)) for first 6 hours.

Use only hand pump grease gun. Other types of grease guns fill the grease cavity at greater speed. This can push retention seal out of position, allowing grease to enter gudgeon center cavity and leaving bearing improperly lubricated.

Use John Deere SD Polyurea grease or other grease as specified in Grease in Other Lubricants section of this Operator’s Manual.
