Pack Front Wheel Bearings (Adjustable Front Axle)

1. Remove wheel.

2. Remove cover (A), cotter pin (C) and nut (B) to remove wheel hub (E).

3. Pack inner bearing (F) and outer bearing (D) with multipurpose grease. (See Fuels, Lubricants and Coolant section.)

4. Install hub assembly and retaining nut. Tighten nut until a slight drag is felt while turning hub. Back off nut just enough to install cotter pin in hole of spindle.

5. Apply flexible sealant to mating surfaces of cover (A) and hub (E). Install cover.

6. Install wheel. Tighten cap screws to specification.

Front Wheel Cap Screws -Torque 175 N·m (130 lb-ft)
