Shifting Transmission

IMPORTANT: To prevent unnecessary wear, never ride the clutch by resting a foot on the pedal.

1. Depress clutch pedal (A) when shifting forward/reverse selector lever, range shift and gear shift levers. Gear shifts and forward/reverse shifts can be made on-the-go, while the tractor must be stopped for range shifts. Release clutch pedal gradually to take up load smoothly.

IMPORTANT: To prevent transmission damage, DO NOT make range lever shifts on-the-go.

3. With tractor stopped and clutch pedal depressed, place range shift lever (B) in one of the three speed ranges A, B, or C.

If equipped with optional creeper range, place lever in creeper position (designated with a "snail" symbol on the decal) for greatly reduced speeds.

4. Place gear shift lever (A) in 1st and gradually release clutch pedal to start travel (forward or reverse). Depress clutch pedal to shift on-the-go to 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear, as desired.

Depress clutch pedal and stop tractor before shifting either range shift lever or gear shift lever. Release clutch pedal gradually to take up load smoothly.
