Adjusting PTO Clutch Operating Rod-Cab

1. Move PTO lever (A) to rearward (disengaged) position.

2. Remove rear clip pin (A), front clip pin (C) and PTO engagement rod (B).

3. Loosen jam nut (B) at rear of front clevis (C).

4. Adjust initial rod length to 783 mm (30.8 in.) (A).

5. Install PTO engagement rod (B) and rear clip pin (A) to PTO engagement lever.

6. Adjust length of rod so the front clip pin can be inserted with the PTO engagement rod pulled forward and the engagement arm pulled rearward to eliminate freeplay. Lengthen rod by 1/2 turn of the clevis to provide a slight amount of lever freeplay.

7. Install engagement rod (B) and clip pin (C) to engagement arm.

8. Check for equal thread engagement at each end of the PTO clutch rod. Jam nut at the rear can be loosened and the rod turned to equalize thread engagement (PTO adjustment is not affected).

9. Tighten jam nuts at each end of rod.
