Test Glow Plugs for Continuity
A - Glow Plug
To prevent accidental starting of engine while performing this test, always disconnect NEGATIVE (—) battery terminal.While checking valve clearance with rocker arm cover removed, check each glow plug (A) for continuity using a multimeter.
Check continuity between glow plug and ground on cylinder head. If resistance is infinite (no current), the glow plug is damaged and must be replaced.
Install new glow plugs and torque to specifications.

Reinstall rocker arm cover and crankcase ventilator tube.
