Torque Sequence - Aftercooler Housing

A - O-Ring

Thoroughly inspect condition of aftercooler core sealing O-rings (A). Sealing O-rings may be reused if not excessively worn or damaged during disassembly. Replace sealing rings as necessary.

Lubricate O-rings with clean multi-purpose grease.

1. Install gasket on aftercooler housing.

2. Install aftercooler core in aftercooler housing.

3. Install gasket on aftercooler core.

4. Install front aftercooler housing onto mounting bracket.

5. Apply low strength thread sealer to aftercooler housing cap screws.

6. Install front aftercooler housing to rear housing using cap screws and Belleville washers. Tighten in sequence illustrated to 28.0 +/- 1.4 N˙m (20.6 +/- 1.0 lb-ft).

7. Connect all water piping and air connections. Tighten hose clamps securely.

8. Open sea cocks.
