European Union (EU) Declaration of Emissions Conformity

The presence of an EU number on the label signifies that the Marine Diesel Engine has been certified with the European Union countries per Directives 97/68/EC as amended by Directive 2004/26/EC. The EU engine family is listed on the Emissions Label. When installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, John Deere marine diesel propulsion engines without integral exhaust certified under Directive 97/68/EC as amended by Directive 2004/26/EC produce exhaust emissions of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and particle emissions which comply with the requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive 2003/44/EC.
