Engine Storage Guidelines
IMPORTANT: Avoid possible poor engine performance and damage.
Special considerations should be taken prior to storage when using
biodiesel. See biodiesel Fuel in the Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolant
Section.

John Deere engines can be stored outside for up to three months
with no long-term preparation if covered by a waterproof covering.
No outside storage is recommended without a waterproof covering.

John Deere engines can be stored in a standard overseas shipping
container for up to three months with no long-term preparation.

John Deere engines can be stored inside for up to six months
with no long-term preparation.
