Drain Water From Fuel Filters
C - Drain Valve
The primary fuel filter is equipped with a sensor that detects
the presence of water in the fuel filter element. This sensor will
illuminate the red “STOP ENGINE” warning light on the
diagnostic gauge and also sound an audible alarm. A Diagnostic Trouble
Code (DTC), a description of the trouble code, and the corrective
action needed will be displayed on the diagnostic gauge.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS STOP ENGINE IMMEDIATELY and drain water from
the primary fuel filter when these warnings occur.

Loosen drain valve (C) to drain water and debris as needed.

Retighten valve securely.
