Adjusting Cutting Height

Mower blade cutting height can be adjusted from 19 mm (0.75 in.) to 102 mm (4 in.) in 14 mm (0.55 in.) increments.

1. Stop machine safely. (See Stopping Safely in the Safety Section.)

2. Protect the mower by placing a soft cloth on the work surface. Position the mower on its side with the main switch at the top.

   Grasp blade shield (A) and rotate to adjust cutting height.
   • Rotate blade shield clockwise to raise blade height.
   • Rotate blade shield counterclockwise to lower blade height.

4. Rotate blade shield to detent position for desired height shown on the height of cut label (B).

The height of cut label (B) is provided as a guide to the approximate cut height. The edge of the blade shield aligns with label letters when it is adjusted to a detent position. See following table for approximate height settings. The lowest two detent positions occur below the bottom of the label.
