Checking Boundary Wires

If a break occurs in the boundary wire or guide loop, mower operation is affected. If a wire is broken or disconnected, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) shows at the charging station LED indicator.

  1. NOTE: Charging station must be powered to show boundary wire and guide loop status.

    Check the charging station status indicator (A). If there is a problem, indicator flashes a code sequence. Refer to charging station label blink code chart (B) or table.

    Solid green - Both wires are in proper condition

    1 long, 1 short flash - Boundary wire fault

    ██  ▌▌   ██  ▌▌   ██   ▌▌

    1 long, 2 short flashes - Guide loop fault

    ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌

    Rapid short flashes - No signal sensed in either wire

  2. Inspect wires based on status indication for charging station connections. Check for breaks if wires are ground installed. Check for digging or trenching if installed underground.

  3. Contact your dealer for service if wire condition or connections appear to be good.
